Education

Imagine a learning environment in which every origin story is valued, where students of color are empowered and affirmed as they recognize the contributions of their own cultures to U.S. history and current events…

Imagine a learning space where students are more invested in their education because the learning material is culturally responsive, they see themselves in the content and are moved and inspired by the conversations.

Imagine teachers as bridge-builders, connecting students of color to these unrevealed origin stories and deepening their understanding of our nation’s history…

ROSAmerica offers professional development programs that train teachers to educate their students in multi-cultural history and equity, with sensitivity and respect. Through immersion in primary resource materials, creative processes and inquiry, teachers are exposed to new materials and methods, and new ways of exploring origin stories to bring them to life in their classrooms.
